Interuniversity Agreements Exchanges

Students/ Ph.D. candidates of universities that have signed general cooperation agreements with Babeș-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca, agreements that stipulate the exchange of students/ Ph.D. candidates, are welcome to study at Babeș-Bolyai University within mobilities in the framework of these agreements.

Please note that it is the case of general interuniversity agreements, NOT Erasmus or CEEPUS agreements, and Babeș-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca doesn’t issue a diploma at the end of the mobility, but a Transcript of Records.

Information for EU Citizens
The following documents are to be sent via Email (scanned) or per regular mail:

  1. Application Form
  2. Copy of ID card or passport
  3. Copy of the latest obtained degree (BA, MA, Ph.D.)
  4. Nomination letter from the home university (from a professor or from a member of the International Relations Office, stating that the student is nominated for a mobility within the general cooperation agreement)
  5. Recommendation Letter(s), optional

Upon agreement with the responsible international officer, translations are to be provided.

Information for non-EU Citizens
The following documents are to be sent via regular mail:

  1. Application Form
  2. Ministry of Education Application Form
  3. Nomination letter from the home university (from a professor or from a member of the International Relations Office, stating that the student is nominated for a mobility within the general cooperation agreement)
  4. High-school graduation diploma or its equivalent – certified copy in the original language and certified translation, at notary public (in Romanian, German, English or French, if the original is not issued in one of these languages
  5. Bachelor diploma or its equivalent (only for the application for master programs) – certified copy in the original language and certified translation, at notary public (in Romanian, German, English or French, if the original is not issued in one of these languages)
  6. Transcript of records pertaining to the previous studies – certified copy or certified translation at notary public (in Romanian, German, English or French, if the original is not issued in one of these languages) and the analytical curriculum in case of candidates that request equivalence for certain periods of studies)
  7. Medical certificate (translated in English, Romanian, German or French)
  8. Birth certificate – certified copy or certified translation at notary public (in Romanian, German, English or French, if the original is not issued in one of these languages)
  9. Passport copy – valid for at least 6 months after the date of issue of the Acceptance Letter
