Gain international academic experience without travelling abroad!
Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Finland, invites students to participate in its Virtual Exchange Program for the Spring Semester 2027, offering an opportunity to attend international courses remotely, develop new skills and interact with students from different backgrounds.
The program is particularly suitable for students who wish to gain international academic experience but are unable to undertake a physical mobility during the upcoming semester.
What does the program offer?
Students can choose from a variety of courses available in two different formats:
- Virtual courses: Flexible, independent learning with no scheduled lessons. Students can study at their own pace.
- Online courses: Scheduled online classes involving interaction and collaboration with an international student group.
There is no fixed limit on the number of courses students may select. Typically, students choose courses amounting to a total of 5–35 ECTS credits.
Please note that participation in all selected courses cannot be guaranteed, as virtual exchange students are enrolled during the second enrolment period.
How to participate?
The nomination and application process involves two steps:
1. Student nomination
All nominations must be submitted through Haaga-Helia’s SoleMove mobility management system.
The nomination deadline is 3 December 2026.
Partner universities that do not yet have SoleMove access should contact Haaga-Helia by email at exch@haaga-helia.fi, providing the first name, surname, email address and institution name of the person who will be responsible for submitting nominations. Access credentials will then be provided.
Universities that already have login credentials can submit nominations directly through:

2. Student application
Following nomination, Haaga-Helia will send application instructions directly to the nominated students.
The student application period closes on 13 December 2026.
Applicants will be required to provide:
- Basic personal information;
- An academic transcript of records in English;
- Proof of English language proficiency at B2 level;
- A list of the courses they wish to attend.
